OUI! Fairhope High School Fashion Show- Where Food Meets Fashion
Where Food Meets Fashion
On May 10th, 2018 at 6pm more than 50 Fairhope High School Fashion students will take the runway at Manning’s Fairhope Piggly Wiggly. The Fairhope Pig in conjunction with Dianne Bernasconi’s Fashion Design students welcomes our community to it’s first-ever fashion show in the South. The theme is “OUI! -Outrageous, Unforgettable, Iconic.”The students will feature 100 original designs accessorized by Giulia Sciutto’s Happy Bee Jewelry, Fatou Sall’s hats and Chelsey Hughes-Sarıdemir’steam from Hues Salon in Daphne will style the model’s hair and make-up for the show. Chelsey led the students into a brainstorming frenzy to come up with this witty theme using adjectives to define their design class and unique individuality as a group. Participating students get a taste of what it’s like to be a professional designer and model. Having such a diverse curriculum in our schools, the students are able to express their creative minds through fashion and design; who knows maybe one of the young designers will go on to design for high-end luxury fashion houses or even create their own brand of fashion.
The same evening at 5.30pm, the Fairhope Pig will also have a special Italian wine tasting dinner where tasters can view the Fashion Show. The only cost of the evening is for the wine dinner at $20 plus tax. Contact us through our website (www.wedigthepig.com) to RSVP for the wine event on Thursday, May 10th at 5.30pm.
Piggly Wiggly also sponsored a t-shirt design contest for Baldwin County Middle and High School art students. All entries will be displayed for viewing. The winning t-shirt design will be showcased and modeled in the OUI! Fashion Show. All awards for the top four winning t-shirt designs will be presented at the OUI! Fashion Show.
